Conference on Constitution on Liturgy, 22, 23 Nov

The National Centre for Liturgy is holding a conference on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November to Celebrate 50 years of Sacrosanctum Concilium. Guest Speaker is Michael Joncas who serves as Artist in residence and Research Fellow in Catholic Studies at the University of Notre Dame. For further details click on the heading above.

Project Choir for Year of Faith: Handel's Messiah, 23 Nov

Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Mourne Road are holding an evening of song on 23 November at 8.00pm.  The choir itself is made up of Parish Choir members from over 25 parishes across the diocese.  Under the direction of Blanaid Murphy, soloists: Lynda Lee, Alison Browner, Andrew Gavin, Nathan Morrison will perform a selection of Messiah pieces on the night accompanied by St. Cecilia orchestra.  Tickets cost €10 and are available from Mourne Road parish office (Tel: 01 4556105). ACI/ACP Conference on November 15

A joint ACP/ACI gathering will take place in the Regency Hotel, Dublin, at 7.30pm on Friday 15 November featuring an address by Robert Mickens, Tablet correspondent in Rome.  Robert will speak about the possibilities of renewal in the Church during the pontificate of Pope Francis. 

Lecture: The Scandal of the Cross: Sexualised Violence, Torture and Public Theology

This forthcoming lecture by Professor David Tombs will take place in the Neil Hoey Theatre at the Long Room Hub of Trinity College Dublin on 13 November at 6pm.
