Dear Friends,

August has been a busy month for us here. Thankfully the rains have helped as we begin to harvest our groundnuts, it goes some way to help alleviate the hunger but we are not over the hunger period yet.

The rains also bring with it malaria and in a single day we have been receiving over fifty new cases a day. Sadly many of the new cases are young children and babies. The rains have also flooded the rain roads to the city of Juba, this seems to have the benefit of keeping people local.

Thankfully with this is mind there are no obvious signs of Coronavirus in our community. Schools still remain closed as we await directives from the Government.

Many thanks for your continuous support and prayers. See the below for more news from Rumbek. Blessings from all of us in Loreto Rumbek
