IBVM Loreto sisters and their colleagues work in 24 countries on five continents and commit their resources to promoting the dignity and liberation of all, particularly women and children. They are involved in both formal and informal Education, in Advocacy & Human Rights, Pastoral Work, Health, and in Spirituality & Faith development.
Mary Ward International Ireland is part of the wider Mary Ward International network. It supports Loreto Sisters and their colleagues in their work for the most vulnerable and needy by
– promoting mission awareness in our schools and facilitating fund-raising projects
– promoting awareness among our colleagues, families and friends.
– providing information about Loreto missionary work on request
– seeking funding for our mission projects.
– encouraging sustained prayer for our ministries
– connecting and collaborating with IBVM UN NGO

At present MWI Ireland is helping to support projects in South Sudan, Kenya, South Africa, Zambia, India and Peru.
Mary Ward International has a management committee chaired by Sr. Stephanie O Brien.
